First, read this New Yorker article about the new generation of parents.
My answers to the first question
- Have iPod with Bloc Party in heavy rotation. Check.
- Can’t afford Urban Outfitters. Not me.
- Does poker night count? Then check.
- I would stay out all night for the New Pornographers, the last time I stayed out all night though was for the Decemberists. Check.
- My jeans are just falling apart, which I don’t think is cool. Not me.
- I have already played Sufjan Stevens for Madeleine, and recently downloaded the Innocence Mission and Lisa Loeb for her. Am strongly anti-Wiggles. Check.
- Have no fashion at all, but do have sneakers. Not me.
Well, you get the point. I’m a grup that can’t dress himself.

I’ve just finished testing the site on Internet Explorer 6 for Windows and noticed that sometimes a photo album or picture from the photos page will show up as “Page Not Found.” If this is happening, try refreshing the page a time or two. It seems to catch after a few tries.
I’m not sure why this is happening, and I’m efforting a solution. Just chalk it up as one more reason to use a better browser than Internet Explorer. When Internet Explorer 7 debuts (five years after the last release) a lot of these problems should go away, but I won’t get my hopes up.
Use a better browser! Download Firefox!

After an extended absence from How Deep Is The Ocean?, I’m back. I’ve been pretty busy since the new year. Pixelfork has new clients, work at the firm has been ramping up, and of course, Beth and I were preparing for the birth of our new baby, Madeleine. Now that our little girl has arrived, I’ve refocused getting this site ready to host as many baby pictures as I can fill it with.
I’ve added a new Photos section to the site that links my Flickr-hosted photos directly to here. Now I can just shoot my photos from iPhoto to Flickr, and they automatically appear here. Thanks to Joe Tan at tantannoodles.com for creating the fantastic Wordpress plugin that makes all of this possible.
